那么这以后再申请人家还会接受吗，现在时间有些晚了，因为很多都是Nov 1，那还申
请吗。另外很多都是让把推荐信一齐寄过去，可是如果申请的多，那得寄多少推荐信哪
。还有我interest of reseasrch跟postdoc的不太相关，跟phd时候有些相关，要跟phd
老板通气么，虽说即使搞的话也不会有啥冲突。 | m***j

If you send your application in after that date, Yes, someone will
look at your application. If you are indeed very good, you should not
worry too much.
Having said that, imagine you are on the other side of the table;
imagine you are a busy-like-hell professor who was forced to sit on
the recruiting committee. You set aside some time around Nov 1 (I
used your example), say, Nov 2nd, to go over all the applications.
You have to do that, because the Committee will meet on Nov 3rd. OK.
You spent an entire day to go over 50+ applications (or 100). Then
you come up your short list (e.g., 5 - 10 people). Then the committee
meets, the short list emerges after this meeting. Everyone was
like.."Thank god... the job was finished". Do you think all Committee
members will look carefully at the people who will apply after Nov
1st? Chances are they are already relieved after the 1st meeting
since the short list already emerged. Also, if you REALLY want to
apply for a school, why can't you apply for that before their
"deadline"? esp. if you are NOT the hottest one on the market?
