I did not find the 3 month resident requirement in the FAQ page. You will
need a IL driver license. I suggest you fill in the form and get anything
the form requires along the way.
When I was applying for the FOID, I just fill in the form and mailed it out
with a
$10 check.
for CFP, yes, you just go directly to the police station and get the finger
print at the same time. They won't bother you to make another appointment.
Make sure you have the following, you may need to attend a CFP class in
order to get item (d), a lot of range offer that class:
3.2 When submitting the CFP application, the applicant shall bring the
following:
(a) the applicant's Illinois firearm owner's identification number and a
copy of the
applicant’s FOID card;
(b) two identical photographs of the applicant taken within 30 days
immediately
prior to the date of filing the application, equivalent to passport size,
showing the
full face, head and shoulders of the applicant in a clear and distinguishing
manner;
(c) the applicant’s Illinois driver’s license number or Illinois
identification card, and
a copy of the applicant’s driver’s license or Illinois identification card;
(d) an affidavit signed by a state certified firearms instructor to provide
firearm
training courses which includes the following information:
(1) the name and signature of the applicant;
(2) the name, address and phone number of the instructor;
(3) the location where the training occurred;
(4) a statement that the training provided at least one hour of range
training and four hours of classroom instruction that is in compliance with
rule 2.2;
(5) a statement that the applicant successfully completed the training; and
(6) a statement attesting to the correctness of the information provided in
the affidavit.
(e), if the applicant does not have a valid Illinois driver’s license, a
letter signed by
a licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist, attesting that the applicant has
vision
better than or equal to that required to obtain a valid Illinois driver’s
license under
the standards established in the Illinois Vehicle Code.

过六月份注册新买的散弹枪，那儿的枪支管理部门已经搬到chicago police
headquarter：
3510 South Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60653
绿线地铁，35街下车。
芝加哥市警察局的网站一直没有更新这个变化。

刚把FOID的申请表格寄出去，等着回应了。估计要一两个月。期间正好上一个CFP
class。 有什么推荐吗？有没有周末的班啊？
我住在芝加哥市区，据说即使买了枪也不能把枪放家里，要寄存到郊区的靶场。唉，真
是悲催的规定啊。
还是很怀念Texas的。 |

周末肯定有，价钱也都差不太多，看哪个离自己近方便吧。
现在可以把枪放家里，只要注册过，证件齐全，符合规定。 |

intensive training, much better than water down version of regular CFP
classes. The cost is $350 but it is well worth it in my opinion, should
build a solid skill set for you. The drill skills are more inline with
magpul dynamic handgun syllabus.
I can give you more detailed info if you desire.

如果没有记错的话，那里有个walmart super center。记得上个月，我去哪里买自行车
。开进去后发现我掉进煤堆里了（泥格社区）。吓得我够呛啊。
不知哪里安全否？上课出来被打劫就太搞笑了！ ：）

打算下周申请CFP，然后想办法把我的colt1911运过来注册一下。好像很麻烦啊！！
不知有没有这方面的经验，再介绍一下。
目前我把手枪存在dallas银行deposit box里面，可以开车取回来，再CFP在手的情况下
，能否注册呢？规定够枪之日起，5日内必须登记注册。可是我的枪是两年前在texas买
的，好像不在此例啊。

发帖数: 460 | 42 CFP，FOID齐了应该就可以注册了吧。我理解的“5日内必须登记注册”是指你的枪进入
芝加哥的时间算起，否则以前在外州买的枪甭进芝加哥了。需要注意的是手枪每三十天
只能注册一把，长枪没有这个限制。每把枪注册15刀，长短都一样。

发帖数: 460 | 43 是CCKC range in Bristol，我有快一个月没去了，星期天从上午十一点半玩到下午三
点半左右。非常拥挤，新的Club House投入使用了，停车场也铺上了柏油，整个焕然一
新，有鸟枪换炮的感觉。
下午看见旁边有一对白人父子在打毛瑟的C96驳壳枪，吸引了很多人，连RO都跑过来问
长问短，我是第一次见人打这种枪，算是开眼了。
下次同去可否约个时间见面认识一下，我可能Nov24/25的周末再去。
