Is there really such a big difference?
I used to have a desktop 7 years ago which is AMD Barton 2500+ and used it
heavily for computer games which turns out fine. It is still being used by
my
parents.
Also have AMD operton process for scientific computing, which turns out fine
too.
I have not followed this area for a long time. Is there any general comments?

你要看相同型号其它配置相当的话，用AMD的也就比Intel便宜百把块
