pending. Below is the update.
Thank you for your Wednesday, May 14, 2014, email on behalf of your
constituents, XXX XXXXXX and his family, regarding their pending Form I-485
’s, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status.
USCIS Texas Service Center is currently reviewing Employment-based, Form I-
485 applications that were filed on October 18, 2013 or earlier. USCIS
records indicate that Mr. XXXXXX filed on February 7, 2014. Please feel
free to submit another inquiry in 60-90 days to see if the status has
changed. He can track the processing date via the www.uscis.gov website and
conduct a search for “processing times.” Additionally, we have also
received an inquiry from the Office of Senator XXXXXX as well (XXXXXX
XXXXXXX).
In addition, if you would like me to request an expedite please review USCIS
’ expedite criteria below and provide supporting documentation to
substantiate the request. All expedites are given at the discretion of
USCIS.
USCIS Expedite Criteria
All expedite requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and are granted
at the discretion of the Director. The burden is on the applicant or
petitioner to demonstrate that one or more of the expedite criteria have
been met. The criteria are as follows:
Severe financial loss to company or individual
Extreme emergent situation
Humanitarian situation
Nonprofit status of requesting organization in furtherance of the cultural
and social interests of the United States
Department of Defense or National Interest Situation (Note: Request must
come from official United States Government entity and state that delay will
be detrimental to our Government)
