John Bogle recommends "roughly your age in bonds"; for instance, if you are
45, 45% of your portfolio should be in high-quality bonds.
"Age in bonds" and its variants, (age - 10) or (age - 20), are only crude
starting points to be adjusted for the investor's circumstances; a key
circumstance being the presence or absence of a pension, which would change
ones willingness or need to take risk. Some Bogleheads do not add pensions
and Social Security to their asset allocation of bond holdings.

发帖数: 2181 | 4 不以为然。理论上你当然可以在59.5岁的时候把钱一下子全部取出，但有多少人是真这
么干？那一年的税不都交死（假如是pre tax的话）？
所以（临近）退休并不是你需要做改变的时刻，这是一个误区。只要你还有钱在401账
户里，你就依然被绑在起伏涨跌的车轮上，直到你取出最后一分钱。
如果说一定要找出一个需要做出改变以求稳的时刻，我觉得应该是当你账户里已经有了
几十w的时候。此时股市一天的涨幅可以beat你一个月的contribution，增长主要来自
钱生钱，你个人的contribution和match几乎忽略不计。

另外，过几年股市可能大跌也可能大涨...不是立马要退休急等钱用的话，无所谓吧。
再说，只有20万的话，反正也退不了休，淡定，淡定...
