Globalization Quality Engineer
Job Summary
The Globalization Quality Engineer will support the validation and
qualification efforts of localized versions of MathWorks products. In
addition to automated and manual testing, this person will work closely with
product QE to provide G11n testing guidance.
Responsibilities
The Globalisation (G11n) Quality Engineer is responsible for developing
software test suites and conducting hands-on-testing of the localised
versions of The MathWorks products. As a member of the Globalisation
Development team, the candidate will work closely with internationalisation
and localisation engineers and also consult with quality engineers on other
product teams to provide guidance on G11n testing plans.
Writing and implementing test plans for localised versions of our products
Creating automated tests for localised versions of our products
Creating automated test tools to enable other teams to create tests in
localised environments
Performing hands-on testing of software in a localised environment
Advising Quality Engineering groups how to test the localized aspects of
their products
Setting up and maintaining hardware and software resources for I18n/L10N
testing
Qualifications
BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering
Native competency in Chinese
Experience with MATLAB or C/C++
Knowledge of Chinese or Japanese environment on PC/Linux/Mac OS
Analytical with a sharp attention to detail
Ability to adapt quickly to complex technical software products
Good written and verbal English communication skills
Pluses
Localisation experience is highly desirable (QE or Development)
Experience with Simulink
Working knowledge of Java and Perl is highly desirable
