Job Title: Product & Purchasing Coordinator

Job Description:
Nostalgia Home Fashions, Inc. was founded in Chicago in the early 1980's,
and quickly developed a reputation for its fine quality, distinctive design,
and reliable delivery in manufacturing and importing of bedding and home
textile products from China.
Along with fast growing business, Nostalgia has an opening for a Product &
Purchasing Coordinator position for its U.S. headquarters in Vernon Hills (a
northwest suburb of Chicago). The job will be an entry level position
focused on daily communication at any product management and/or purchasing
activities between U.S. and China, also related on cooperation with sales
team and design team for developing best products and services for each
customer account.
Nostalgia is looking for an efficient, responsible, and self-motivated
individual with good communication skills and problem solving capabilities
in a professional environment. Start date would be as soon as possible.
Essential Functions:
Communication support: daily based communications between U.S.
and China, following through with any of questions/answers regarding to
design, cost, production, packaging, and logistics;
Design and Product Development support: including design guide
translation and communication on design-related questions between U.S. and
China design teams; track and update PD calendar per work orders.
Sales support: to manage any of sample and/or cost requests for
customer; cooperate with sales and design teams to complete customer’s
product developments work; prepare Purchase Orders to factories over China;
Logistic management: to track and record any of Purchase Order
related operations on logistics including packaging, testing, shipments,
delivery, and etc.;
Other functions as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English
and Mandarin Chinese;
Detail-oriented & Willingness to learn from and work with other
team members.
Excellent interpersonal skills and work ethic
Average or above skill in MS Office and general computer usage;
Bachelors Degree in Business or related field is required;
International business background a plus;
Knowledge and work experience in textile industry a plus.
Legal status:
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident preferred. But company will
consider sponsorship of H-1B work visa for the right candidate. | c******0
