Office Coordinator
The Role:
Company Concierge, a full-time superstar responsible for helping to run the
day-to-day office operations of a fast-growing technology company.
This is no ordinary admin job:
Historically, it has been the entry point to the company for smart, dynamic
working students, recent grads, and people re-entering the workforce. Admin
team members have gone on to work in other parts of the company, including
product development, recruiting, accounting, and client services. And some
stay in admin because they love its core purpose of “creating a home for
employees and a welcome place for guests” as well as “making it easy for
the company to get stuff done.” We enjoy virtually no turnover in our admin
staff. How many companies can say that?
Finally, this is no ordinary time: We have hit the inflection point in our
growth, and the future is bright. The next couple of years here are going to
be a wild ride. This will sound fun to you if you’re right for this job.
Responsibilities:
To be the face of the company. You will be the first person our guests see
and the first person our employees seek out when they have questions.
Other responsibilities:
Manage front desk
– Answer incoming calls
– Greet guests
– Facilitate all incoming and outgoing mail
Take ownership of the kitchen and supply room (upkeep, organization, etc
.)
Help with food ordering (Whole Foods, Safeway, Costco, weekly catering,
etc.)
Help coordinate company events (weekly happy hours, birthday
celebrations, baby showers, etc.)
Organize lunches for team and executive meetings
Manage company library and weekly magazine subscriptions
Prepare various documents for team members (coordinate with FedEx,
generate invoices for the Accounting Department, etc.)
Provide assistance on small projects throughout the company (great
opportunity to see what’s going on in different departments)
Collaborate with peers to set the direction for the admin team
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree (or in progress); BA/BS (or four-year degree in
progress) a plus
Evidence of top academic performance: high GPA, academic awards,
recommendations from professors, high test scores, etc.
Experience working while studying a plus
Experience in hospitality, retail, coaching, teaching, or child care a
plus
“Must haves” to excel in this position. You:
Are a team player first and foremost
Genuinely enjoy helping people
Have exceptional communications skills – written and spoken
Are a self-starter
Like to multitask
Have the ability to work with minimal supervision, identify what needs
to get done, and jump on it
Possess a can-do attitude
Have energy to work in a start-up environment and thrive on change
Are an organized thinker with flourishes of creativity
But above all else, you must have a passion for improving customer
experiences. It’s what our company does, and it’s what you’ll do. You are
the first contact most people will have with our company. You set the tone
for the way they experience . So, if you’re interested, please send us your
resume with a very short note describing what makes you passionate about
improving customer experiences.

Community Specialist
Meet Some ns ›
is the customer feedback engine for the world’s most admired brands.
These are huge Fortune 500 companies whose customers generate a LOT of
feedback. As you can imagine, the people at those corporations with
responsibility for customer feedback and customer experiences are a busy
group.
Those people want to be more deeply engaged with our company, and with
broader industry trends and happenings. Immature communities of customer
experience professionals have formed on LinkedIn and on Quora. Several of
our competitors have attracted users to their blogs, Twitter feeds, and
Facebook pages. But a true community in the customer experience industry is
very much nebulous. We need you to envision, build, and run the definitive
customer experience community.
This will be one of the most influential positions in our company, connected
to both Engineering (to understand trends, roadmap, etc.) and Client
Services (to understand interests, concerns, etc.). Not only will the
position be visible within our company, it has the potential to be highly
visible in our industry. We need someone who can stand in for , and that
requires the energy and insight to help companies improve customer
experiences.
Some of the roles you should be able to fill:
• Cartographer. Map out our Community strategy, and rally internal
support for your recommended direction. Focus our energy on the right tools
(social media and otherwise).
• Gardener. Roll up your sleeves and engage directly with our team
every day, and with your community of practitioners at Fortune 1000
companies.
• Storyteller. Write and speak with exceptional clarity. The
thought you apply to suspense and humor will have your audience on the edge
of their seats.
• Advocate. Our company exists to help improve customer experiences
. If you want to be a credible community leader, you need to exhibit real
passion for customer experience management.
You have to know your way around Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Quora. You
should also help us get out in front of Google+ and other channels as they
emerge. Perhaps more important, you have to understand what will bring
together busy CX professionals: the underpinnings of the concept of
community. We expect you’ve been thinking about and working with social
media deeply for 3 years.
So, we’ve established that you are mighty skilled. Why would you want to
work at ? The first reason is timing. We have hit the inflection point in
our growth, and the future is bright. The next couple of years are going to
be a wild ride. This will sound fun to you if you’re right for this job.
The second reason is our customers. When you learn more about the customer
set we serve, it’ll be obvious that we’re the leader in this space.
Through the communities you run, you will literally engage the brightest
minds at the most respected brands. The third reason is our people. We may
as well warn you that our hiring process is rigorous (and that’s polite).
While we insist on high-caliber talent, we hire foremost for kindness,
humility, and an appetite for learning.
Think about it. And if you’re interested, please send us a short cover
letter and your resume. Tell us what makes you the ideal person to ignite
and steward our community efforts. Thank you for your interest!
