One reason MS laid so many people is it wants developers test their own
stuff.

发帖数: 7 | 7 08年从project lead转行做test automation engineer，当时也觉得这行还挺有意思的
。做到差不多第五年，我觉得从职业发展看，到头了。不是这个行业不能继续做深，而
是社会上的需求在大幅减少。所以只能当爱好，不能当职业了。果断复习+刷题，第六
年的时候转回了dev。
建议慎重考虑继续从事test行业，社会需求的前景不容乐观。 |

With developer's skills, not necessarily to do QA or tester job unless you
have to.
On the other hand, there are much better positions as database analyst in
many many companies.

5 years big company work experience in US. I studied a lot of computer
science courses (about 30 credits), and was recently trained for QA/testing.
I am looking for a Junior QA position. Please refer me if you can.

Are you with Start-ups always? Start-up got no money for testers.
不需要那么多机会就可以找到工作 --- 比生物领域的机会多多了。
