一个朋友情况是这样。他3年前在一家大公司做了3个月contract，然后因为自己的私事
当时临时请了三周假回国，因为处理不完 然后又比原来的三周假推迟了三天才回去上
班。从国内回来后他当时的经理不爽，让他走人了。 他最近又申请了那家公司的
contract, 拿到了offer, 不知道以前的经历会不会影响到他这次的offer? 现在人家要
background check，担心之前留有不好记录，会过不了background check。 不知谁有
这方面的经验可以谈谈？
他能不能不提供那3个月的工作？ |

发帖数: 433 | 2 如实填写，不要隐瞒。背景调查只是走一个形式，具体的工作简历，公司根本不关心，
都是外包给背景调查的公司做的。然后背景调查公司给你的公司一个clear的message
然后你就可以上班了。
如果你刻意隐瞒的话，就是简历欺诈，后果极其严重。

不懂不要胡说八道。简单说背调就是查你犯罪记录等以及简历上的东西，主要是起止时
间，title 及工资等。
楼上这种显然不用写，人家根本也不会去查。

背调是照你的简历来的，简历没写，应该问题不大。当然并不排除他家的HR不一定看到
前面的工作纪录。
即使看到了，也很难说就是很坏。如果有担心就背景调查clear 后再辞职就好了。 |

你在任何地方工作，必须在72小时之内填写I-9表，他们可以查到你填写的I-9表，
就知道你的整个工作经历了（除非是打黑工，没有填写I-9表）。
查到你隐瞒工作简历，就是简历欺诈，就会被现在的公司立刻解雇。

瞎扯吧？ 他们怎么查？ 有什么权利查？
I have never heard it is cheating to hide some work experience. someone
worked in many places, list only a very important one in the resume should
be perfect fine. They hire you based on the things you listed in your resume
, and the interview experience. it has nothing to do with whatever that not
included in your resume.
of course, if it is criminal record, it is public, you can not hide, they
search those databases during background check.

I work for a top background screening provider. The company will only check
the previous employers you provide them, there's no other way for them to
know where you've worked other than what you've told them and what social
media tells them (facebook, linkedin, etc). What you SHOULD NOT DO however,
is lie about dates of employment. It's okay to leave those jobs off the
resume, but do not extend the time worked at another to cover it up. This
will be verified, they will know you lied about the dates, and they will see
it as a discrepancy. It could prevent you from getting the job.

What that person said make sense and consistent with my experience.
Background check companies are lazy as everyone else, taking steps to verify
things not listed is not easy and costly, so it is unlikely something they
practice.
With that said, no rule has no exception, judge with your common sense.
