Responsibilities:
● Design and implement our next generation networking platforms and
architectures in areas like virtual switches, traffic classification, policy
framework, and network overlay technologies;
● Deliver rapidly iterative new design and/or new technology POCs as well
as platform for production releases;
● Apply innovative development methodologies and design to further improve
quality of products.
● Communicate technical dependencies and concerns/issues of implementations.
Qualifications
● MSEE/CS combined with 5+ years of related experience, or BSEE/CS combined
with 7+ years related experience;
● Knowledge of core computer science concepts – algorithms, data
structures;
● Strong C/C++ Programming Skills (C++ 14/17 preferred);
● Proficiency in OO languages such as Python or Rust;
● At least two years of in-depth network application development experience
and strong background familiarity with standard network stack
implementations;
● In-depth understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols (such as HTTP, FTP,
SSH, TLS/SSL, and SMTP) and experience in socket programming;
● Experience with Virtualization platforms such as KVM and LXC.;
● Creative problem solving skills and excellent troubleshooting/debugging
skills;
● Good communication skills in both written and verbal.
Desired
● Excellent problem solving skills, familiarity with modern software tools
and techniques for development/debugging and solid software design and
development skills;
● Experience in network function virtualization (NFV) and/or software
define network (SDN) is a plus;
● Experience in developing virtual switches and routers (such as ovs, ovn,
contrail) a big plus
● Experience in containerization technologies such as Docker is a plus. |
