POSITION DESCRIPTION/OVERVIEW
Performs engineering, implementation, change management and remedial support
to a national security customer transitioning to a HP Business Technology
Optimization (BTO) software-based Enterprise Management System (EMS).
Engineering responsibilities include the design, development, testing,
documentation, packaging, delivery and support of an EMS baseline comprised
of products drawn from seven HP BTO Product Centers. Product Centers include
Project and Portfolio Management; Business Availability; Operations;
Network Management; Data Center Automation; Service Management; and
Universal CMDB.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Candidate's engineering responsibilities will encompass: formulation of
project plans; review of data calls and analysis of legacy monitoring tools
and requirements for transition to a standard EMS; scheduling of Technical
Exchange Meetings (TEMs); definition of Functional Requirements
Specifications (FRS) and Concept of Operations (CONOPS); architecting the
integration and distribution of EMS components in support of FRS and CONOPS;
coordination of System Security Plans (SSPs), Logistics Support Plans (
LSPs) and Filter Change Requests (FCRs); composition of Version Description
Documents (VDDs) and Network Interface Planning Documents (NIPDs); and
development of Test Plans and Procedures, User Guides, Training Guides,
Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Monitoring Solutions.
Implementation responsibilities relate to customer support involving
Standard EMS manager build implementation and Standard EMS integration with
managed systems and legacy monitoring tools.
Change Management responsibilities include managing change to a standard EMS
baseline configuration and maintaining a repository of all EMS baseline
components (server builds, integration/ monitoring solutions hot fixes,
patches and upgrades.)
