1. 5+ years of mechanical design/engineering for electronic consumer devices
and related products, primarily cellular/mobile phones, headsets and
accessories
2. Successfully provide and identify design solutions including tolerance
analysis, design for assembly and manufacturability; Pro-E development of
design, tooling concepts and development
3. Proficient with product development, trouble shooting and cost analysis
to define program expectations, responsibilities and deliverables
4. Knowledgeable of 8D root cause analysis and able to formulate corrective
actions; follow through with plans to resolve all issues and ensure the
program’s success
5. Effectively manage programs to ensure products comply with design, cost,
schedule, manufacturing, regulatory, and agency requirements
6. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills (daily and close
interaction with customers and other team members including those located in
Taiwan and China); self-motivated; team and results oriented
7. Microsoft office suite including MS Projects proficiency
8. Pro-E, and other ME CAD programs proficiency
9. Domestic and international travelling required (extensive travel to
manufacturing facilities in China)
10. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
This position is responsible for product design and development of a product
from concept through end-of-life. The qualified candidate provides
engineering expertise to formulate and execute development goals, budget
plans, production/manufacturing schedules, testing and troubleshooting
analysis. Duties include hands-on product development and program
management. Products include: cellular phones, mobile tv, data module, game
console controllers, accessories, wireless products (Bluetooth & Wi-Fi
modules, HID, headset, multimedia), data storage, MP3 players, plastic
