engineering and manufacturing and testing of various fiber optic and
electrical components within an engineering and manufacturing environment.
Also, able to perform various other duties and activities as assigned by the
supervisor or manager within the physical constraints of the job.
Duties:
Assist in developing new fiber-optic products, testers and processes.
Manufacture, assemble and test various fiber optic and electrical components.
Follow instructions to maintain workflow in accordance with process cycle
times.
Perform intricate procedures during product assembly process.
Identify non-conforming material.
Learn to know and understand Operating and Technical Procedures, and
Workplace Instructions.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Skills and Knowledge:
Good computer skills and Microsoft Office Software knowledge.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Able to work well with fellow employees.
Able to work well individually and with minimal supervision.
Able to be proactive.
Other qualifications:
2-year or 4-year college degree in electrical engineering or physics (PhDs
and masters are over qualified).
Fiber optic/optics experience - helpful but not required
Electronics experience - helpful but not required
The company is located in Santa Barbara/Goleta, CA.
