analysis of industries, companies, and economies, which drive commercial
business for the firm. Global Investment Research Technology supports all
the functions of the Global Investment Research Division.
We are looking for an expert web front end developer to work on a greenfield
enterprise-grade project delivered on desktop browser and iOS platforms.
This will be a large delivery that will be rolled out globally tied to
specific business functionality.
We expect the successful candidate to have a proven track record leading the
delivery of web application platforms using his/her knowledge of Java, HTML
, CSS, and JavaScript framework/methodologies.
The candidate will get to work with modern technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3
, web services, JavaScript libraries (e.g. JQuery) and frameworks (e.g.
Angular, Backbone), and utilize them to build cutting edge software that
will include advance visualizations of data. They should also demonstrate
knowledge and interest in the mobile ecosystem (both web and native
paradigms).
They should be comfortable working with Agile processes, with an emphasis on
writing good quality, easily testable code. They should also be able to
collaborate and contribute estimates to the planning process.
Knowledge of Investment Research and Finance are not essential but
experience in any of these areas may provide a candidate with some advantage
.
Clear verbal and written communication skills will be crucial since the
candidate must be able to gather requirements as well as influence and gain
consensus for their designs with the global technology team.
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years relevant commercial experience.
• Knowledge of core and server side Java skills (1.6 and above).
• Understanding of web and mobile technology skills including HTML,
CSS, JavaScript.
• Strong experience with JavaScript frameworks such as JQuery,
Angular, Backbone, Node, etc.
• Knowledge and experience of working with common implementation and
web application patterns.
• Experience of applying agile software development methodologies to
deliver robust, well tested solutions.
• Proven record of working across the full product life-cycle:
requirements clarification and analysis, implementation, test case
generation and automation, and providing support
