打了一半这个律师要辞职了,说不替我打官司了.并要我结算各种影印之类的费用几百块.
可我的案子才到一半,是不是应该要求其律师事务所另派人接替? 如果他们不干了,这个费
用我是不是不应该出.合同上有一条: attoney can withdraw at any time upon
reasonable notice being given, but only in the event such withdraw does not
prejudice the interests of Client.

发帖数: 86 | 2 Did he say why he doesn't want to represent you any more? If there is no
legitimate reason, the lawyer is wrong.
Once he takes your case, he can't w/d without good cause. If he does so, file
a complaint to the Bar Association in his jurisdiction. He will be subject to
professional discipline saction.

any cause. But your lawyer can't, unless he's suffering mental or physical
condition that would make it unreasonable for him to continue the
representation.
I hope you are not engaged in any fraudulent, criminal or perjury conduct, and
you have never claimed that you won't cooperate w/ your lawyer in the
representation. Otherwise he is permitted by law to w/d.

if it's the partner whose name is on the contract, instead of the particular
lawyer who is leaving, you can't really complain. as long as the "attoney of
record" is still there, he can appoint another lawyer to take over your case.
sounds like they just want you to pay part of the bill right now, because the
guy is clearing his office. you should call the partner who signed your
contract and make sure that everything is tak

btw, regardless of w/ whom you signed the contract, as long as the attorney
who's going to w/d has in fact substantially involved in your case, he,
together with the partner, is the people that are going to be responsible for
you.
If you still wanna this firm to represent you, ask them to assign you another
attorney ASAP and such substitution should not have any adverse impact on your
interest. If it does, they (the attorney as well as the partner) as a group of
whole are fully

periodically for kinds of reasons. this time, because this guy is leaving, so
they may be clearing his bills. u can talk to other folks of the firm to see
how they r going to handle this.
