n****3 发帖数: 2	1 车祸，我是被告，我的车保险公司的律师建议do not challenge service。但我没明白这和challenge service有什么区别，对我有什么好处？有什么不利吗？ do or do not challenge service都要经历同样法律程序
F**********s 发帖数: 54	2 一般来说，service是personal jurisdiction的一部分。没有proper service，法庭无权审理该案。在不涉及案件本身merit的情况下，你即可argue 没有proper service来 dismiss the case.可见，这对你没有什么不利。但是除非你不能被properly served， challenge service也就只能拖延一些时间而已。
