L***a 发帖数: 108 | 1 I'm using Vim in Gnome terminal. It used to beep for wrong operations. Now
it does not beep any more. How to get it back?
Thanks! |
L***a 发帖数: 108 | 2 I found that it is not just vim. There's no sound in the terminal at all. |
v*****r 发帖数: 1119 | 3 Either your speaker volume too low :-) or
The following line has been added to ~/.vimrc file
set vb
(or set visualbeep)
Remove the above line(s) to enable beeping. |
v*****r 发帖数: 1119 | 4 I see the beeping is off in your gnome terminal.
You can play with your ~/.xession file by adding this line to disable/enable
beeping
xset b off|on |
L***a 发帖数: 108 | 5 This happens when I use Compiz. With no Compiz (no desktop effect), the
terminal beeps. Strange! |
v*****r 发帖数: 1119 | 6 I guess visual bell setting has been turned on in compiz? |
