I just knew the law allows first-time home buyers to withdraw up to $10000
from their IRA accounts towards the home purchasing. My question is whether
I should take this amount from my ROTH or traditional IRA account?
There are no penalties on both options, but I have to pay income taxes on
the money taken out from traditional. For ROTH there will be no taxes, but
since all ROTH money will be taxed free even for future growth, so I really
don't know which option makes more sense in the long run.
Please advise ... | i****a 发帖数: 36252 | 2 there is no simple answer... it all depends on your current tax rate and
what tax rate you predict yourself to be in when you retire
$10000
whether
on
but
really

There is an income limit on ROTH IRA contribution. Once your income is above
certain level (i forgot the exact nuumber, but its really low), you will
corss that number in just a few short years. you would not be able to
contribute to ROTH anymore.
There is no limit for IRA if you contribute after tax money. |
