You may not able to get a permit for this month.
If you don't have experience with ice & snow, Oct is too late.

发帖数: 533 | 4 印象中5月1号到11月1号之间需要提前申请permit的，其余的时间直接到vistor
center拿就好。

Permit for October is very easy to grab online and I have a buddy already.
Main issue is how much snow will be on the ground. The NP page seems to say
that it is mostly snow free before November. Is this true?

发帖数: 533 | 7 这个问题还真的只有老天才知道，因为每年雪况差别很大。通常7月山顶还有雪，但是
今年六月山上就没雪了。上之前可以看一下summitpost的最新trail condition。
