If you have to stay in the field, I bet finite element and biomechanics.

Manufacturing.
My field is Dynamics and Vibrations and Systems and Controls. But too
difficult to get job if you are not citizen.

Actually, all I heard is positive. with biomechanics background, you may
have a good chance landing a job in medical device industry for instance.
So many start-ups in medical device industry show the potential of the area.
Relating your mechanical job with human body, surely it's a good direction
to work for if you have to be a mechanical engineer.

只是小弟目前的想法是一直读完phD，然后成为faculty，搞搞教学和研究，这大概是自
己现在喜欢做的事。不想打工赚大钱，因为这样人际关系会比较复杂，即使拿更多薪水
还是不开心的。现在稍稍感兴趣的是dynamics and vibration, system control, and
MEMS, 望大侠们多分享些这方面的信息。至于biomechanics, 目前没有任何生物的概念
，连高中讲的一些基础知识皆忘了，所以看见这个名字就心虚了。 |

Bio－倒是一堆一堆的项目，就是工作方向模糊啊，被生物的形势吓坏了

i was in bioengineering field for a while, and found it is hard to even get
an interview with those medical device companies. probably b/c i dont have
much experience. see if i can get into them later after getting more
experience.
