How to find the coordinate of a node? I have used query tool to do that but
if there are 1000 node, it becomes impractical. Are there a better way to do
that?
Thanks. | c****g 发帖数: 70 | 2 you can have then printed out in the resulted data file or even input file
generated from your CAE if you ever created your model there. Depend on why
you want them and how you want them to be presented. Generally, I would say
asking for the coordinate of all nodes in your model would be impractical
since you'd easily be overwhelmed by the data you get. Usual practice is to
query some specific node or a subset of nodes in your model or result file
for information of your interest.
but
do

| q*****z 发帖数: 191 | 3 Thanks! I think I may have found them in the input file.
I was asked to simulate the mechanical wave propagation on a piece of soft
tissue. The amplitude of the motion on the surface is the main interest. So
I need to find both the amplitude of motion at each node and the coordinate
of those nodes.
Given the fact that I am still a learner in ABAQUS, this method may not be
the best. Any suggestions? | c****g 发帖数: 70 | 4 I would suggest create a set with all the nodes on the surface. Request
output (field/history) of this particular set for the result parameters you
want (e.g., displacement, etc., ) to either odb file or data (.dat) file (
through updating the input file, like *NODE PRINT or something) or both.
Those can be conveniently visualized with Abaqus CAE or post-processed with
any other third party software tool you like.
So
coordinate
