Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, North Shore University Hospital (NSUH)
and LIJ Medical Center, pathology subspecialty match is finally coming. (
although I personally do not think this is really helping candidates too
much).
For pathology residents considering fellowship 2012 or later, hempath and
cytopath is going to NRMP when you apply this year. More subspecialties are
expected to join later.

Anyway,it is a good news for small program like mine. Transfusion is another
specialty that will start ,right?
If I understand right, we will start to apply at the second year of

resident from your program is the one who gave strongest support to a
subspecialty match. She was very active in RF.

Last thing first, dermpath is very very competitive for sure. Internal filling rate for dermpath is about 1/2, most possibly because another 1/2 spots are filled by dermatology residents. However, generalized conclusion never applies to specific candidates and specific programs; I do not want to give any guess about 未来几年中JOIN IN 的可能性有多大.
