lists because of a few hours late, no kidding.
Schedule a couple of less-favorable places early for practice purpose, then the places you want to be prematched. Other programs can be scheduled in November, early December, even January.

booked flight and hotel. Couldn't combine them together since both are on
monday. So expensive to fly to east from CA. $400 for flight and another

e.g: if they found out one single case, then decided to recheck everything
from FMG strictly....who knows what happens to those faked ones...
another real case, one middle-shool classmate of my hubby's (who's not a doc
) went to a US graduate school with false paperwork(he changed sth in the
diploma),I don't know about the details and that was years ago...
the US school found out and he ended up being kicked out from all US schools.
..
my point is: yes,one can do whatever he wants, but he has to bear all
responsibilities for what he does...no one knows what happens to him one day

一旦有人败露，恐怕所有的FMG都遭殃。真是讨厌这种人。我毕业快20年了，在这个坛
子里估计已经老得没有比我再老的了，也从没动过这种念头。害人害己。

How to do it?
Since Eras will send a copy to your e-mail box, and some programs will send
you messages directly to your e-mail box, you can simply setup an automatic
message forwarding from your mailbox to your cell phone, then, just wait for
the music from your phone.

However, there may be a difference between university affiliated hospitals
and community based hospitals. I
wish the survey had separated these two. I think MSPE may have more impact
on university affiliated hospitals,
so they'll wait till the release of MSPE. If this is the case, the unfilled
slots may not be evenly distributed
between the university affiliated hospitals and community based hospitals.

out before November first. This is highly questionable.
Programs can download MSPEs before November first but PDs can't view them
because the files are encrypted. On November first the PD's workstation will
decrypt the files. The intension of ERAS is to encourage programs not
rushing out decisions, and also to give applicants and Dean's offices enough
time for preparing application materials. In theory, every program should
review applications after November first.
The reality? Every program wants to recruit the best candidates they can get
. Except for some top-notch programs who believe big fishes will bite anyway
, most programs, especially those less-competitive programs are rushing out
for hunting. For independent applicants some programs use “pre-match”
offers, and for AMG seniors those programs send out many invites without
reviewing applicants' MSPE. When the survey was conducted, many PDs were
less honest about this – “Oh ya, we only sent out a small number of
invites before the MSPE release date”.
Last year, I received all of my invites before November first. According to
my classmates, the post-MSPE activity was exaggerated – some of my
classmates still received invites, but the number was far less than expected

mention anything about PTAL, that means they don't need it for residency.
But you will still need PTAL within first 2 years of your residency training
in order to apply for CA license.
Almost all CA programs require PTAL before they process your application
because they don't want to take the risks. |

1. Sutter Medical Center, Santa Rosa- Santa Rosa, CA; Family Medicine
2. Stanislaus Family Practice- Modesto, CA; Family Medicine
3. Natividad Medical Center FP- Salinas, CA; Family Medicine
4. Alameda Highland Medical Center- Oakland, CA; Internal Medicine Primary
Care Track
5. Mercy/Methodist Medical Center- Sacramento, CA; Family Medicine
6. San Joaquin General Hospital- French Camp, CA; Family Medicine
My friend interviewed at Alameda last year, primary track still takes FMGs,
they like good scores and US clinic experience.
Hospital is busy, located in a bad black neighborhood, short of nurse so be
prepared to do scutwork. Difficult to find a decent apartment close by. But
lots of AMG apply to it every year because it is bay area. My friend was
the only FMG on his interview day. 100% match every year.
Interview is very relaxed,they generally don't ask medical questions, but
better prepare one or two cases. Primary track director is MD, PhD, but she
doesn't like research at all. She will definitely question your clinic
ability especially to CMGs out of clinic work for years. So prepare nice
answers to convince her that you can function well from day one.
Attendings are heard to be nice and PD is very knowledgeable and supportive.

from a community hospital. He said because of the tremendously increased #
of application they received this year. The committee decided to only look
at FMG with Step 3. The rationale is: the program does not want the fresh
meat to take time off from their work to do step 3 while they are working as

all medical questions. That program does not offer pre-match. All 8
positions will be filled through match. People I met are very nice. Location
is good for families. Pt population includes 1/3 Indians, 1/3 Hispanic.
