They are all used for advanced maternal age or known genetic disease in
parent to check the fetal karyotype.
The difference is the time window beased on MTB2.

CVS: disadvantage: risk of fetal loss is 1%, can not detect open NTD, limb
defects are associated w/ CVS at <9 wks
Amnocentesis: disadvantage: PROM, chorioamnionitis, fetal-maternal
hemorrhage.
amnocentesis can detect open NTD.
