Legislation (specifically: Senate Bills 962-966 and House Bills 5518-19 and
5535-5537), to permit temporary legal residents to obtain a driver's license
or personal identification card, has been introduced to correct the over-
reaching effects of Attorney General Mike Cox's Opinion #7210. The
Secretary of State proposed and supports this legislation and Rep. Smith
will certainly support it also.
