Sand machine is very heavy and expensive to rent. I rented the machines from
Home Depot. It took me a few days to finish sanding just one family room.
You have to rent two kinds of sanding machines-one is for first 打磨-100
grit sandpaper, another one for 细磨-120 grit sandpaper and for the corner edge. After I got it done, my back was killing me.
Then, you need to put at least 3 coats of polyurethane on bare wood.
For each coat, you have to wait 2 days. My family complained too much about
the smell. I will not do it again.
