Intel Corp. (Nasdaq: INTC) CEO Brian Krzanich highlighted this fact in a
keynote otherwise dominated by the glitz and glamor of future technologies
at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this month. That's because Intel
sees diversity as vital to the future of our industry in the same way that
the Internet of Things (IoT), drones and connectivity will be. It made a
pledge at last year's CES to achieve full representation of women and
underrepresented minorities in Intel's US workforce by 2020.
"I did this for one simple reason: If we want the technology industry to
define the future, we must be representative of that future. And we must
represent the consumers and the populations we serve. And this genuinely
leads to better business results," Krzanich said, according to The Latin
