University of Akron professor Dr Liping Liu emailed classes saying he would
raise female students' grades to encourage more women to go into tech fields。
In an email to students he said: 'FYI, your grade has been sent to the
university registrar. The following categories of students may see their
grades raised one level or two: Female students (it is a national movement
to encourage female students to go to information sciences).'
Dr Liping Liu, a professor of information systems analysis and design, wrote
in an email to his classes that female students' grades would be inflated
as part of what he called a 'national movement to encourage female students
to go to information sciences'.
Officials at the Ohio university caught wind of the email and blocked the
plan from being implemented. | N*******M
