在新泽西被layoff了，明天是公司的benefits的最后一天。10/1就要自己弄医保了。
有几个基本问题请教下：
1. Cobra是从10/1以后的60天内决定是否加入，如果加入，那要在45天内补齐从10/1到
那个时候的premium,这样coverage才会从10/1回溯起，不间断，对吗？
2. Obamacare也是这样的，从10/1开始有60天的grace period，也同样可以补齐从10/1
到决定加入Obamacare那天起的premium，从而使coverage才会从10/1回溯起，不间断，
对吗？
因为有慢性病，所以不想coverage中断，一中断就算pre-existing condition，那看病
就贵。
有没谁有建议，还会有更合算的保险吗?

starts either from the day after the benefit ends or starts from the day you
receive the Cobra Letter.
Check with your HR dept. |

DOL的原文:
Election Procedures
If you are entitled to elect COBRA continuation coverage, you must be given
an election period of at least 60 days (starting on the later of the date
you are furnished the election notice or the date you would lose coverage)
to choose whether or not to elect continuation coverage.
