一个手术室最重要的就是外科医生，好比一个诊所最重要的就是医生。没有外科医生，
其他手术室的工作人员都英雄无用武之地，诊所也一样。所以其他的辅助工作人员很容
易被替换。一个诊所可以解雇所有的员工就是不能解雇医生。同样，手术室里外科医生
就是中心，其他的都是围绕着他/她转。
不管中国还是美国，麻醉都是辅助，经常就是外科医生骂麻醉医生像骂孙子一样。
而FNP是百搭。哪里都需要。精神病院也要。监狱也要。养老院也要。邮轮也要。有
refer 病人的权力。
这个人神公愤的abscess， 就给这个医生吧。听说他手最近有点抖。只能做这种手术。
我refer 的时候， 想一想。这个女病人，还是找一个帅哥外科医生可以增加幸福感。
好， 这$1000 就某某的了。
听话的外科医生我们让他发财，听话的心脏内科医生让他发财。
有一次一个女外科医生不肯来医院看病人。我就直接打电话给她。跟她说： I need
you badly. 她乖乖的来医院做手术。
有一个外科医生脑子不正常。就再不用了。
哪个外科医生不懂事。以后就不refer.
懂事的有生意。
我在医院感觉就是captain of the ship.
哪个家伙不听话以后就再不用了。
一般辅助科室都是配合我们。
麻醉医生钱多多，就是很幸苦，还要被手术医生说，经常在手术室看医生骂麻醉师…
什么时候，都是麻醉的错，外科从来不出错。
没有外科医生 麻醉都得失业。麻醉医生跟对了主，发财。
不过外科医生确实是手术室的花旦。花旦没有到。其他护士麻醉医生统统要等，外科医
生感觉确实很好。
要不然为啥有这句 麻醉是外科医生的bitch
读NP可以一边上班一边读，毕业也没有什么学生贷款。
像有的单位，还单位出钱让你去读，带工资读NP，拿着十几万美金的工资读NP，NP的学
费也是单位给交，毕业以后给原单位工作三年就行了。这日子多爽。
几个麻醉护士小瘪三，在手术室里天天被骂得狗血淋头，一点尊严都没有，挣点没有尊
严的钱，也敢跑到护士版来吹嘘。
不过正是因为在手术室里没有任何地位，所以跑到护士版来找存在感，呵呵
Anesthesiologists treated like second rate physicians.
After four years of anesthesiology residency, I still have my day ruined by
some jerk surgeon, nurse, scrub tech, circulating nurse, PACU nurse treating
me like crap compared to non-anesthesiologist physicians. I've tried to
watch closely how other residents are treated and I swear anesthesia
attendings and residents are treated like second rate physicians. Is it just
this hospital or is it nationwide? Is it because we do some "nursing"
functions like start IVs, empty foley bags, push gurneys, and administer
medications that we're viewed less as physicians and more as subordinates to
the surgeons? Even on the whiteboard in the ORs they will have written "
Attending: Dr. X, Resident: Dr. Y, Anesthsesia Attending/Resident: John/Jane
." Did we not go to medical school like everybody else? Have I not been in
school for the past 13 years? I know its small stuff to worry about, but it
wears on a person when its every day, every case. It causes much bitterness
to have one's pride trampled on every day and not be able to do anything
about it.
As a resident, I don't feel very empowered to "talk back" to attendings or
even the nurses really. Any words of advice? Anybody else feel this way? How
do you handle the micromanaging and rude surgeon or the jerk scrub tech or
b***ch circulating nurse? Real world suggestions are apprecitated, not
things like, "ketamine dart them when they're not looking."

Surgeons disrespecting anesthesiologists
I'm an M3 looking to go into anesthesia. I absolutely love everything about
the field but one thing bothering me is that I've seen anesthesiologists
getting chewed out by the surgeons at more than one institution. They yell
at them if the patient's finger moves half an inch during surgery, laugh at
them during a difficult intubation and just generally look down on them as a
second-rate physician. I need some advice on how to deal with this if I do
end up matching GAS, and please don't say ketamine dart them when they're
not looking.
