I believe most ppl in outdoor board can make it after training.
but we have limited source for instructors/assistants, and the maximum
number of a team is 12, we prefer to consider ppl who can commit and are
very serious about mountaineering

yet. I will sign on once I can confirm my schedule.
In the meantime, I have a few questions for the gears. (I have never snow
climb before)
1. How much are the rental for crampons, boots, ice axe ? For the helmet,
should I use snowboard helmet or rockclimbing helmet?
2. Could you recommend for a typical pairs of typical boots, crampons and
ice axe that suit for this event?
3. For the outerwear, do I need hardshell or |

Rental for crampons, boots, ice axe cost around 30 bucks.
Sure you can use your rock climbing helmet, for climbing, we use the same
one.
For general mountaineering (not involved vertical ice climbing), a pair of
waterproof hiking/backpacking boots with strap-on crampons work very well.
Also, get a regular ice axe
