PMR's good friend "Em" Emetaz (a founder of the NW Avalanche Center), with a
first-hand story about someone buried just last week ago in a slide in
Canada.
This story is compelling and includes great observations and advice. It is
worth a read.

for the sake of harmony please everyone be careful in the mountain and in
the snow. I don't trust anyone who goes up there without having sunscreen
can have a safe trip every time. More success in this regard would only
result in higher risk.

我这次是有点儿低估了南加冬天太阳的强度。以前在国内爬的时候，每天不仅满脸
涂得像从奶油店捞出来一样，还要用SPF30以上的唇膏。
我从04年到现在，户外活动也参加过几十近百次了，也没出过什么问题。
我自己tough，喜欢折腾，碍你什么事情了？
04年在安徽，我领队，一超级白的mm有比较急性的sunburn反应（在已经用了sunscreen
的情况下）。我先给她用冷毛巾敷上。然后tmd翻了4个山头找到一茶农家里讨蜂蜜
我自认我一向是比较认真负责的。你这样说话太没根据了

had done amazing things before and I don't regret most of them. Yet I feel
lucky to be safe and sound so far.

Yes, I did feel urged to say something for the first time, after reading the avalanche story. It's a pity that avalanche.org doesn't forecast southern sierra condition, yet people died at big bear last year thinking it was safe.
Obviously you have the potential to become legendary. But I don't feel comfortable to stand silent here while seeing alarming signs. Sunscreen is clearly a minor one. As for why I didn't post here before

2～3周前我们本来就要计划去baldy，但是担心那个bowl有雪崩危险，打电话问了
ranger，ranger不建议我们去，我们就没去。
哪怕是这次，上那个bowl之前，我跟美国队伍的leader还有住在那个bowl旁边（
那里有个ski hut小木屋）的ranger，还再三聊了那里雪崩的风险。确认没问题

我很感激你善意的提醒
但是痛恨你枉加揣测的居心

雪崩，滚下来，还好没埋住,断了几根肋骨，还是自己走出山的。休息了好几个月。
几年前另一群朋友，雪崩半埋了，回来嘻嘻哈哈讲个雪崩的故事。第二年，整个rope
team都被埋了，再也没回来。
