很多人这么干啊。只要不是一边提议锯，一边要求引就行了。比较阴的人锯别人的时候

If this was the case, usually you would able to provide a few other uncited
references with the similar correlation.
Also think that quite some journal / conference has a page limit - one thing
to cut are those not so related references.
Explain with a joke, back to the 1960s, a man want send a telegram to his
wife. Telegram was charged by letter, and was expensive. He started with a
draft - a small paragraph. For money sake, he started to cut not so
important things. He resulted in a blank paper.

要是有Whitesides的气势那就无所谓了.
