Call Las Vegas Table Tennis Club, The guy said until 10PM.
Hurry up;
There is some traffic and always took longer time than GPS said.
Arrive Las Vegas Tennis Club 8:30PM. 9 persons there; the owner is Korean.
Many people use Japanese Penholder.

Pay $5.
Play with a guy, and later found out to be a Chinese guy.
Play him one game: Lost; 12:14; 12:14; 6:11.
The first two games are close. The last game, I lost energy (mostly due to
long air-travel).
Play ends at 10:10PM. I was so tired ( a long day travel)
He told me that he does not have a USATT rating, played a lot when was young
, did not play until one year ago; he played almost very day resent months.
Found some good aspects of him:
1) He used Japanese-Korean-style penholder racket (thick, more than $220)
, which is very fast;
2) His hit is very fast due to a) racket, b) his style, and 3) T05
3) He plays much faster balls than me.
4) His forehand block (tui1dong3) can be very fast and strong backspin (
The fact of backspin Tui1dong3 was told by him to me after the match). It is
my first time to see that a block (tui1dong3) can be so strong backspin.
5) His backhand revere side is either medium or long pip (maybe not long
pip. But it is not short pip) so that it is easy to hit/loop his serve
return using the pip.
6) Sometime, his soft hits (to some locations) are great (other than
choosing strong smash). I found that guys can do soft hits instead of strong
smashes are sometime better players.
7) He told me after the game: “your RPB could not be used in a whole
game since I did not give a chance let you to use it.”
His drawbacks
1) When my forehand loop is very spinning, his block (tui1dong3) return
can not handle consistently. This is the common problem of traditional
penholder blocking.
2) Since he depends on back-side pip to return my serves to his backhand,
he needs to make a decision to use either forehand or backside pip when I
serve in middle-left.
3) His forehand chop is not good as mine as my impression (but his
backhand pip can change the nature of spin)
4) His forehand looping is not good as mine as my impression.
In summary, although lost, I am still very happy to meet another style of
playing, never found in the small town as in my home. Most impressive: 1)
his Japan-style penholder is really fast when hitting; 2) his blocking can
produce fast and spinning backspin.
If there is Baozi to encourage this, I will write Day 2 at Las Vegas | L**********g 发帖数: 94 | | L**********g 发帖数: 94 | |
