发帖数: 225 | 1 我一个朋友是biology postdoc。他的PI本来属于department of
biology下面的一个institute，但是最近听说那个institute的
director和其他PI想把朋友的PI踢出来，整个lab都要搬走。
朋友的PI是full professor，现在手里有经费，平时对做研究不是
很有热情，lab里的人也挺松散。而且朋友的PI和institute里其他
PI关系不好，据说新director想拉升institute的整体实力，觉得朋
友的PI拖后腿，想把他踢出去，招新人。
朋友不知道lab搬了会有什么后果。现在lab用institute的服务来订东西，
做财务和各种秘书工作。搬出来了，这些就全没有了，以后再申请funding也
不好拿到了吧？
诸位有没有听说过类似经历的？朋友也好早做打算。

holder, no visa problem.
If he is J1 or H1B visa, he has visa problem, he need keep his legal
immigration status in USA. |

He worries about how long he can work in this lab.
