f*********a 发帖数: 46 | 1 A postdoctoral position, starting January 2016, is available in a newly
established laboratory in the Department of Integrative Biology and
Physiology at University of Minnesota. The research in the laboratory is
centered on understanding how metabolic homeostasis is maintained at the
physiological level and defining the pathological alterations in metabolic
diseases, including obesity, diabetes, digestive diseases, and inflammation.
We are interested in defining molecular mechanisms by which hormonal and
nutritional cues orchestrate metabolic physiology across tissues. A
combination of cutting-edge tools will be employed, including biochemistry,
molecular and cellular biology, mouse genetics, genomics, metabolomics,
proteomics, and physiology.
Applicants should have a recent Ph.D. degree in molecular biology, genetics,
physiology, or a related field, highly self-motivated, and have a track
record of productivity and good communication skills. Prior experience with
animal models is highly desirable. Preference will be given to those who
have expertise in metabolism and/or immunology.
The University of Minnesota Twin Cities has campuses in Minneapolis and St.
Paul, a metropolitan area known as a top place to visit, work, and live http://www.minneapolis.org/media/facts-amp-research/accolades. The University of Minnesota is considered a Public Ivy. It ranked 22nd by Academic Ranking of World Universities in 2015. U.S. News & World Report’s recent rankings placed the University as the 29th Best Global University and the Medical School 10th for primary care, 40th for research, and 34th for Biological Sciences.
