Scalia deserves a lot of credit for getting the high court to divine what
laws mean by focusing on the words Congress used.
Kagan says the art of interpreting statutes has changed for the better in
the past 30 years, largely because of Scalia.
The liberal Kagan says the conservative Scalia will go down in history for
his insistence that justices look more to the words of a law than they used
to.
Kagan spoke Thursday night at a downtown Washington synagogue.
Scalia has come under criticism for comments he made this week at Kagan's
alma mater, Princeton University, in which he compared laws against
homosexuality to those dealing with murder and bestiality.

out outside work. maybe she will influence him on gay issues, i hope.

她這就是回應Scalia前陣子在普林斯頓的言論。
他那番話惹了點麻煩，gay activists要求他回避審理gay marriage right 案子。
Scalia是最喜歡查字典的大法官，
從文本意義上，Scalia號稱是最跟著發條走到法官，
挑戰哪年的法條，他就摸出哪年的字典，看看某個詞意到底是什么意思。
可以說他精準，也可以說他守舊，
在我看來就是不識時務。
Kagan這話算不上諷刺也算不上表揚，
說的是句實話罷了，再說，她一個最junior的法官，
談及現在最資深的法官，贊美的話當然比諷刺更合適。
傳說Kagan可能是lesbian，確實很可疑。
