黑人律师接受采访时说:we are satisfied with the result, let's put it behind
us.

If Mr. Wu were a Northern Black, his victim would be a Southern Black
because in reality both Mr. Wu and his victim (at least the CEO) were Asians
! When constructing hypotheticals, pay attention to the scope and refrain
from adding extra/external premises relative to the original case.
Mr. Wu was charged with murder, possibly in the category of premeditated and
deliberate murder considering that he planned the whole event ahead of time
with well-thoughtout plans and not in the heat of the moment. His defense
might be insanity, self-defense, necessity, justification, duress, excuse or
mistake. The fact that he refused representation by an attorney
effectively removed the basis of LZ's hypothetical--the help of a licensed
attorney.
Mr. Wu's mental health might be a factor in lessening his sentence, but not
when considering his uilt/verdict since he was not totally out of his mind,
hence, no complete affirmative defense.
In any event, unlawfully killing of a human being with malice aforethought
will not be tolerated under any jurisdiction when humanity makes its stand. | F******w 发帖数: 1278 | 3 But u get the idea, and probably the sarcasm.
There is something called "one for all, all for one."

| B******1 发帖数: 9094 | 4 Another "famous" case involved the custody battle between a Chinese couple
and a White couple revolving around an "adopted" Chinese girl.
If my memory were correct, that case was first ruled in the White's favor.
Then in the Chinese's favor after appeal or appeals with tremendous help
from the Chinese community. That case would be a fine example of how to use
the Americal legal system to protect a citizen's right. And in that case,
the majority of the White showed support for the Chinese side and hailed the
final ruling as justice well served.
Sadly, I think it was inconlusive that the verdict for the Chinese brought
a better ending to the life of the innocent Chinese girl. That leads to
another interesting question of all lawsuits: Is a legally correct decision
morally sound, or even materially significant?
Most of us rooted for the victory of the Chinese couple. Did we truly
consider the benefit/deteriment to the little girl and her right, or chance,
to have a BETTER life? Were we blinded, to certain degree, by the anger to
get back to the White, and swang by the gravitational pull of racial unity
more than we should have, when an issue also requires objectivity on top of
ethnicity? | n******h 发帖数: 2482 | | B*****i 发帖数: 583 | 6 你是北大毕业的?真的假的?

| B******1 发帖数: 9094 | 7 Every coin has two sides.
Mr. Wu suffered enormously through his experience, chose to use violence in
the form of a firearm, to release his anger toward the perceived injustice
in his eyes. When that tragedy happened, some celebrated his acts as a bold
move with gust and gage. Others called it a cold-blooded murder and a
disregard of human lives.
If Mr. Wu, or any other member of the society, were wrongfully treated at
work or at home, the proper way is to turn to the law and seek justice
therefrom.
The killing in Connecticut is an extreme example of how bad it was to take
out one person's frustration to get "justice" or cure. That killer may
suffer more pains and anxiety than Mr. Wu. But it would not have justified
his act by shooting a bullet into another human's body. That was wrong for
him. That was wrong for Mr. Wu. |
