We also agree that education is a right, which is why we support K-12 with
our tax money.
For higher education, even though the law doesn't believe that higher-
education is a right at this time, but we still support providing
opportunities to all young people of all races and backgrounds. As a result,
CA has the best and biggest public high-education system in the country: UC
, CSU, community colleges.
All qualified students are in fact guaranteed, and supported financially, to
enter the system. The qualification standards are fair and designed to fit
the various levels and goals of the young people seeking suitable higher
education opportunities. The financial supports have been generously funded
by CA tax payers, and mostly received by less affluent groups.
So, what exactly are the grievances of the so-called under-represented
groups?
The quoted data so far are very biased and selective. It does not reflect
the reality when taking the full spectrum of higher education situation in
CA into consideration. |

In fact, personally I don't really care if they desire to lower their
academic standards. In the long-run it will hurt them more than Chinese-
Americans, the rankings and numbers will show.
