everybody who joined the fight. There were about 300~400 people joined the
rally and filled up the meeting room. Number counts, both the 300+ people in
the rally and 1200+ odor complaints over the last 3 month clearly have big
impact on SJC official’s mind. Because of our strong opposition, the SJC
didn’t issue the permit today, and voted to have another meeting on 5/6. In
my opinion, this is the best result we can get for today. Remember newby
island landfill bring tens of millions dollar revenue to SJC each year, and
who knows how much money they pay to those official under the table.
Time is on our side, let’s just keep calling the odor hot line to file odor
complaint. And let’s get more people show up in the next meeting. And it
is very likely that san jose, Milpitas, newby island will sponsor a thorough
and independent odor study to determine where exactly the odor come from.

很多新移民， 包括博士硕士，参加抗议，
这些人喜欢思考，喜欢较真，认为不对的就想辩论。
真正积极参加的真没什么人为了房价， 因为这样下去对房价并无好处。
不利之处是这些博士硕士不敢动手。
我不想说越南人，菲律宾人素质低。 不过要是他们参加，其中有些人会动手,成功几率
会大些.
有些白人住了几十年， 不在乎臭味，已经习惯
最最遗憾的是没有黑人受影响。如果有黑人参加，必成功
印度人并不少， 烙印政客比老中政客积极。下次选举， 烙印会赢得部分老
中的选票
