still have issues. If you do, then the bottleneck is your WAN connection,
then there is probably nothing you can do, other than upgrading your WAN
connection or switching to some other service provider.
If not, you may consider getting a faster router. Wireless-N has three
categories with different max theoretical speeds: 150 Mbps 300 Mbps and 600
Mbps. 300 Mbps ones should be good enough for HD streaming.
Powerline ethernet is overated, the "up-to-200 Mbps" ones usually get about
50 Mbps, according to CNET review. Choose Wireless-N over powerline unless
you really have signal issues.

do not need this.
If your router is far away, this is very handy.
I got wireless N router as well. However, my laptop is too far away from the
router. The signal is bad. It is even worse when the Microwave is on.
I haven't tried the powerline product yet. It is on the way. The reviews are
quite positive and is supposely better then WIFI. I will have first hand
experience soon.
Yes, you need to connect to is via a cable. However, you do not need to run
a cable from your router that is in a different room.

BTW, wireless is highly susceptable to microwave oven.
Whenever my microwave is on, my wireless network goes out.

外，家里要是老电线的话也会杯具的。
btw，你的微波炉太厉害了，离它远点吧，或者你无线路由器太弱了。

My laptop was getting 1 - 2 mbps download speed from the Wireless N router
before, and it is not reliable. Now it is getting 20mbps.
I am happy. One of my best buys on Amazon.com

just like everybody else. One of my computer is too far away from the router
, the wireless signal is not good. I got the powerline device (a pair) for
that computer.
I plug one of the device into my router, plug the other one into the
computer in another room far away. The two devices communicated via power
line in the house and brought ethernet connection to my computer. It worked
well. The device cost me $100.
I pay Comcast monthly fee for cable internet, just like everybody else.
There is no monthly cost for the device.
