1. Starting up time is really fast (<=8 seconds from many devices)
2. All touch compatiable full-screen UI with so-called "Metro" UI (live
tiles); both mouse/keyboard and touch supported at the same time.
3. New APIs (with Visual Studio 2011) supporting all those MS langagues from
HTML5/Javascript, VB/C#, C/C++ to XAML/Siverlight. The demo of porting a
desktop app to Windows Phone with only one line change is so cool! Also
changing those previous non-Metro UI based app to Metro-UI app is very easy.
(this will answer many concerns about two UIs problem between HTML5 and WP7
);Smooth/simple integration for your apps with network functions, social
network, sharing, etc.; in one demo, a photo loading function can be built
by only a few lines, which can load pictures from social network sites, and
then share your photos to other social networks as well.
4. Back compatibility for Windows 7 and previous verison Windows Apps
5. Built-in support for Windows 8 App Store and Release/Pricing/Certificate
procedure by Visual Studio 2011
6. Running smoothly on a broad range of ecosystem from tera-watt consumed,
water-cooled, GPU powered workstation for hardcore gaming, regular everyday
workstation, to mobile tablet PC. One OS for almost all screens!
7. Hyper-V on client!
8. many other cool featuers like new UI of task manager, remote desktop,

上已经固定了。
