yet to ski such a chute. It really take some guts and an adventurous heart
to go there. Glad you are all back safely. |

I knew it would be tough for jun and suggested to ski the nearby fourth of
july peak for some good turns but not crescent moon couloir. however, he
wanted to climb the round top and decided to downclimb or ski after top
out. the slope wasn't such steep that we haven't skied before but without
getting used to the soft rental AT gear, both bao and jun fell after a
couple of turns.
most importantly, there was no such thing like pro patrol or ambulance
waiting at lodge if somebody had a broken bone in that setting; even a
twisted knee can cause a big headache so it is better to play safe.
the other thing i learned is to plan the trip according to the capability
of each member of the group and plan according to that. go with the
conservative option if there is disagreement. a team is only as strong as
the weakest member. |

forum ever got ski injury? I used to be an emergency room's frequent
visitor. The problem is that some novices are so naive to believe that they
are good enough to do something beyond their level. A skier's
underestimating
the risk or being overconfident is why orthopedics are always busy after a
ski season. |

wow，man，越来越野啦。
这种地方心理挑战太大，非常人能为啊，同样的坡度如果5-10米后即变缓，一般还会滑
，问题是连续50-200米那个坡度
就意味着必须零失误，一旦失误，the consequences。。。所以即便平时能处理，到时
心理也不丁了，我上次在科州那个
坡就深有体会
