你空手在太阳底下走4-5小时去试试，看辛不辛苦。

skiing/riding, you got there with lift, and golfing, you got there by cart.
of course, there are tons of other similarities, such as you push the group
in front of you, ... etc.
All the twist and turn from skiing/snowboarding and golfing are almost the
same. That is why skiers are very easy to pick up golf, and golfers are very
easy to ski/snowboard.
I am surprised that you guys are not into golfing, should be very easy for
skiers to play golf. And you need sports for summer anyway.
for me: winter ski/ride, summer golf, perfect match!

Snowboarding is fun so there's no doubt some people of other professions
claim to love snowboarding, heck, there must be even more male accountants
claiming to love snowboarding. There's no need to throw all these lame ass
names around unless it's the other way around, say, Shaun White says he
loves golfing.
A man in slacks and tucked polo shirt walking on grass is totally different
than a man in colors doing 360 on pipe, admit it.

每年的Celebrity Golf Tournament都能看到最大牌的体育明星，很多都是高尔夫高手
，而且对高尔夫的狂热程度不比他们成名的项目差，像 Michael Jordan, Wayne
Gresky, Ivan Lendle，Tony Romo等等。All of these guys pay a great deal of
respect to golf and good golfers.

足球/网球 =〉滑雪 =〉高尔夫
如果三十岁还没有完成这个三步曲，只能说悟性比较慢，快要落伍了。:)

譬如说去原始森林，这几位一定得是“丛林中拨开树叶，住进五星级酒店”。
Golf Resort一般都是这种情况。
对度假村不发烧的就去攀岩了

琢磨下我喜爱的项目。。。

也就类似hiking. 高尔夫本身就对身体的协调性要求很高，还要有强大的心理素质。
你打高尔夫肯定是开车的。。。

在太阳底下
冲一个小时浪或者打一个小时沙滩排球~这个叫做运动。
背着沙滩椅、拎着装满食物的保温箱在沙滩上走几个小时——
累归累，但真心不叫运动。

一定要很多人打地铺挤到一个房子里才能算是对滑雪友热情？ :)
即使你说的原始森林，也有你所说的“五星级酒店”。非洲的Safari也有豪华级别的。
并不是说住得豪华就没法领受自然。

自己随便满场跑着玩，或者我拿一个网球满场随便扔了让it去拣。
我这还溜的是山区的球场，有elevation gain的。

course in grad school but didn't really like it. I have too many sports for
the summer already. I ski till late June or early July. Tons of people here
ski year round. But July and August are really mountaineering season for me.
And I'm not into any activity that doesn't involve sweating like a pig.

sport" is always not a good sign.
if someone come to you say, i dont think skiing or snowboarding are sports,
since i don't ski, and i dont care about ski, ... well, the short answer is:
fine, lets move on ...
put kidding aside, to me, skiing, golfing, and surfing are sports in very
similar way. All those three are very demanding, both physically and
mentally. All of them require high precision. It would always push yourself
to the limit that you have to try all your best, and you have to maintain
the calmness while you are doing it.
Again, those subtle difference you can only experience once you participate,
just like you ski down 80mph, you would feel much different than other
skiers do. And it has nothing to do with if that sport is cool or not.
