park your money. Also great choice for retirement investment. Below are the
reasons:
1. amazingly low PE: 5.12 as of today and the forwarding PE should be higher
in the near future.
2. Very healthy balance sheet: 2.5 billion cash and short term investment
with 9.24B market cap and reasonable debt level.
3. great industry: petroleum refinery based in TX. Gas and diesel are the
primary fuel of the world economic and demand is strong in the near future.
Considered the promising growth of US oil production (next major US growth),
mid to long term solid growth is highly reasonable.
4. Decent dividend: $0.3/share standard quarterly dividend and just paid $0.
5/share special dividend.
5. Just checked their 10-F. No major business or litigation risk.
6. If you worry about price fluctuation, write some covered call to increase
your total return.
7. Price ($45.28) is in the middle of 52 week high/low ($59.2/$30.8). so you
are NOT buying at peak.
The reasons to invest will keep growing if you spend time to do research. | N****L

stock go up 10%, you are still buying a bargain as you can't complain a
stock PE (forward PE) go up to 6! Still less to say 25% of the stock price
is cash and short term investment after the company pay bogus dividends for
years ($0.8/share quarterly dividends since Q1 2012).
This is a typical deep discount value investment, just like weed, hard to
kill but grow crazy in any environments.
After years of sweet bitter investments, the hard lesson I learn is to
invest, not to gamble. A stock with minimum risk and reasonable high return
(around 20%/annual before margin and derivatives) make me smile and sleep
well everyday, how about you, pal?

发帖数: 86 | 7 As I said in my last post, you can use margin and derivative, like write
covered call (normally I write deep out of money calls)or write naked put to
make the deal even sweeter. Anyway, 75% of options ends up as useless. Just
FYI.
