第8届夏季奥林匹克运动会
the summer olympic games of 1924
第八届奥林匹构运动会于1924年5月3日至7月27日在法国首都巴
黎举行。
当时申请主办的城市有六个：荷兰的阿姆斯特丹、西班牙的巴塞
罗那、美国的洛杉矶、前捷克斯洛伐克的布拉格、意大利的罗马和法
国的巴黎。因为1924年是现代奥林匹构运动复兴30周年，30年前国际
奥委会在巴黎国际体育会议上成立了，何况奥林匹克运动的奠基人、
国际奥运会成了众望所归，于是，巴黎成了第一个两次主办奥运会的
城市。
自从奥运会决定在巴黎举行后，法国表现了相当的热忱。巴黎市
民对奥运会抱有热情欢迎的态度，筹委会的班子也换上了热爱体育事
业的人，为了开好这届奥运会，各种各样的设想、各种各样的设计方
案，从法国各地纷纷寄到巴黎奥委会筹委会。其中法国前橄榄球队队
长、上届奥运会银牌获得者优·久查里克提出的，兴建一座能容10万
观众的体育建筑群和一个能安排两千人住宿的奥运会的设想，得到了
赞同。
但筹备工作仍然是困难重重。战争后的法国政府已经耗费了巨额
资金以生建家园、恢复生产；奥运会前一年冬一塞纳河决堤，洪水袭
击巴黎，使原
