The park is 6 miles southwest of Huntsville off Interstate 45 on Park Road
40. For direction and map, please see http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/findadest/parks/huntsville/#sch. Please note that there is a $5 per person fee for the park, or $70 annual pass for a year for one vehicle (and everyone in the vehicle).
We will gather in front of the park headquarter at 11:00 am. The trail is
around 7 miles and will take about 3 hour to finish. The trail has nice lake
view with shades and is perfect for beginner level hikers. Please bring
snacks and enough water (4 bottles per person should be enough), and wear
hiking shoes and long pants.
