q****6 发帖数: 837 | 9 I don't know if everybody commented here knows this particular area. That
pocket is THE HOT area due to best schools in Austin, as well as almost the
only location to make two job family commute work. But it's very difficult
to buy a house in that pocket if that's the only school sets you are
targeting. Only about 100 houses or so at 10 years old. 1/3 of them are on
busy street. Also another bunch too close to power towers and power lines.
Most of the lots are not flat and you take stairs up to the front door and
you take stairs down to the backyard which can be annoying. Austin house
price increase can be 25% or more for the past two years. There are some
flip houses 30-40 years old with significant remodel asking at this price
level. I think this price is fair and seems seller is motivated.I personally
think newer house is safer with less potential problems. If your question
is to get in this summer or next summer (regardless of this house or other
houses), I'd say this summer to capture future appreciation.I know some
friends live in that area have houses to sell but they are renting to hold
onto them to capture appreciation. |
