was doing some math, and i know others before me and even myself have
attempted this (the others not being me were probably right i just dont want
to read everything and if i have been taught to calculate FTP RB then i
will no longer need to be fed others peoples sandwiches):
SNE vs FTP max Iron with black card perks
it takes about 2.4m hands at FR NL200 to earn SNE. so after max iron i did
the math for 2.4m hands on FTP deducting cash bonus's from rakeback.
if you didnt play the free roll and earned max bonus medals 25 days a month
you would earn 1500 medals a month and 18000 medals a year for a total of $
3600 in iron bonus's.
then add $1200 for being iron man 12 months for their bi-yearly "end of the
year bonus". (if i am mistaken on that it is for first and second half of
the year i dont think it will change too much as later everything is
estimates anyways, but please do correct me.)
that totals $4800 for iron man cash
now onto the points. this is where it gets vague and player dependent. my
experience:
i am earning .794 base points per hand of NL200. after bonus points i am
earning just over 2 points per hand and i am not sure if i have been black
card for the whole sample size.
so 2.4m hands x 2 = 4.8m points which is just shy of $22000 in BC cash bonus
's. for this exercise it is exactly that.
this leaves a grand total of $26800 in 1st party RB.
3rd party, the 27% (assume you play the exact same as everyone else as far
as contributed weighted is concerned)
over my small sample size i have estimated rake at ~$0.08 a hand. this means
those 2.4m hands equal about $192000 in rake. $26800 less from gross leaves
us $165200 x 27% = $44604
this means that a grand total of ~$71404 in rake back for SNE volume.
i went one step further for myself:
assuming SNE is worth ~$123800
assume we are aiming to earn $200k in a year (i am not but if you were)
you need to earn $128596 in winrate on FTP at a 2.6791bb/100hands
you need to earn $76200 in winrate on Stars at a 1.5875bb/100hands
i want to get this right so please dont hesitate to show where i messed up,
please include why/what/how though. hopefully it will be a minor detail i
can adjust, if i need to scrap everything so be it.
edit: just read the posts that were posted while i was working on this so it
is all for short term, then for not. hopefully the changes make RB obsolete
tbh. i vote to abolish iron man and expand on black card salvaging the
names in iron man as their tiers. |

很粗略的算了下：PS:
假设打6max，一手牌大概有.5的rake(20bb pot，算小的了吧)，那么就是.5vpp/hand，一个月
15kvpp，稳定在platinum，一年180k，稳定的SN。（假设前一年没有SN）
FTP：同样的rake，0.833 ftp/hand，833ftp/day, 25k ftp/month。假设有黑卡，再加上各
种happy hour什么的，这个数应该在60k左右。一年就是720k。
PS没有第三方rb，ftp第三方rb一年能拿到675左右。(0.5/6*30k*0.27)
上班无聊随便算了下，还请有闲人指正 |

yeah, PS is better for this heavy volume, but very few could reach, last
year only about 300 SNEs worldwide. 2 millions hands (and no rush) a year?
insane!
honestly, FTP should get rid of their ironman program and enhance black/red/
... card system. yeah, it's a copycat but better than maintaining 2 systems.
ironman is indeed nothing, $4800 max/year, don't get me wrong, it's some
money but it requires you:
1) have been ironman for 36+ months in a row (1000 medals/month);
2) play at least 15 days/month to achieve the lowest level. if you only do
this much, then 1 is gone (1000 is for iron level);
3) to get all ironman plus medals, like the author said, max 40/day(=$8),
or $240 max/month.
this involves lots of efforts while the return is tiny.
PS is more flexible, you have nothing to maintain, if you play a ton this
week, you feel free to take a break next week... as long as you can
accumulate enough VPP for the year, you're fine.

they want to pursue. i think they're patching their systems now just to make
sure ppl won't be taking advantage of them by getting both too much.
they can call ironman the "tournament" path, which rewards more (than now)
medals to ppl, and medals can be exchanged for tickets AND live tournament
buy-ins (for example, $1000 small WSOP event or package).
and black card as the "cash reward" path, which can use BC points to get
cash reward.
ppl can choose which path they want to take for any month and change again
if they want for the next month.
for existing players, they can do a one-time exchange for their FTP points,
either convert to medals or BC points, and get rid of them forever.
over time, if more and more ppl favor one path than the other (say, BC path
is more attractive), they can retire the other path much easier.
